Hello everyone!

Finally, I will share with you my experience writing blogs and learning English at university.

Before to course this subject, I had many doubts Will I be able to speak English in class? Will I be able to understand the instructions?  Also, I was afraid of having a very low level of English in relation to my classmates. However, after the first class I noticed that it was not so terrible, I understand what the teacher said and I could introduce myself.

The blogs have been a great opportunity to learn more vocabulary about different topics like movies, travels, our careers, etc. At the beginning, I took a long time to write each post, but with the passage of the weeks, I gained more confidence and it took me less time.  A good advice to practice is to write a diary, for example, you can talk about what you do in the day, the books you read or the TV series you watched.

I need to improve my listening and speaking skills. For the first, I could see TV series and movies dubbed and subtitled in English. Come to think of it, I have been wanting to re watch Friends… For the second, I could ask to my aunt if she can help me with the conversation.

Outside the English class, I’m using the idiom to read books, manga and interviews of my favourite authors. It’s a long history, at school I tried too hard but I didn’t master the language. When me and my mom went to New York, we toured several bookstores and there was a lot of books and mangas that don’t have Spanish license. I thought I have been studying English for many years, why couldn’t I understand these paragraphs? Surprisingly, I started to read and I understood.
