Hello everyone!
This time I will talk about the future job that I want.
At this time, I am studying Arts and I am interested in artistic production like oil paintings and watercolor drawings. In the future, I want to work in my own workshop and sell my masterpieces (or their reproductions).
About the last topic, I have been thinking that it’s hard for and emerging artist sell their works. In first place you have to choose the correct price based on the materials and your years of experience, so the masterpiece shouldn’t be very expensive. Secondly, if you are an emerging artist few people know about you, in this way, it’s more difficult to find buyers. Finally, you must take into account that the common people live in small houses or apartment, they will not buy a three meter high painting or an artistic installation for their living rooms. The conclusion is that you have to come up with a method to sell your work in formats and prices affordable for people. It is not necessary to sell the original masterpiece, you can sell a lot of their reproductions in prints, photocards, postcards, magnets, calendars, etc. As an example, I chose this photo of MoMA Museum shop.
I would love to travel and exhibit my masterpieces in other countries. I have to work hard to fulfill that dream. Also, the trips are a great inspiration, for example, Valparaíso is my muse to paint or draw urban landscapes.
And last, if I want his type of job, I must be very organized with my schedule and expenses.
Valparaíso is beautiful, I love going there.
